Whenever Grandma baked her chocolate cakes the folks in our neighborhood would jump up and down, yell across town, flip and dip, dance and prance, and scream and dream of tasting a slice of her famous, delicious chocolate cake. Everybody wanted one of Grandmas chocolate cakes: the banker, the butcher, the undertaker, the preacher, Auntie Kimmie, Uncle Rick, and of course, Angie! In the story Angie gets caught-up in making an impression on the popular girls and ignores Donnie’s message that her cake is ready and Grandma is waiting … she eventually arrives too late for that famous Chocolate Cake. Readers will enjoy this delightful story and learn a valuable lesson in the process.
Author Biography
Kimberly Wallace enjoys writing for children of all ages. She is a New York City public school teacher who is privileged to promote literacy and laughter among children grades Pre-K through 5. Kimberly earned her Master of Science in Education from Long Island University. Grandma’s Chocolate Cake is her first children’s book. Kimberly lives in New York with her husband Michael and son Rocky.
