Dodger Dog is working daily to fulfil his goal of being the best little dog that he can possibly is passionate about fairness and equality, as well as love and kindness for “Dodger Dog learns Something new” which is book number 7 in the Dodger Dog book series, Dodger discovers that not everyone feels and acts in the same way as Dodger finds out that there is a law that effects dogs just like him, a law which promotes predigest and judges dogs by their appearance, and takes no notice of their behaviour, Dodger is shocked, this motivates Dodger to teach everyone that he meets how unjust this horrible law BSL is. Children are the adults of the future, they can change this law and Dodger is setting out to explain this to all children, to make sure one day BSL is stopped
Author Biography
Karen Gee is passionate about dogs. The inspiration for the character “Dodger” came from her own Staffie-cross, Dodger, who was rescued from the RSPCA in London after being abandoned as a young puppy. All of Dodger Dog’s stories are based on true events and real-life adventures. “How I became Dodger Dog” is the true story of Dodger’s journey to find his ‘forever home’. Karen is deeply concerned about dog welfare and is especially interested in the plight of Bull Breeds – Staffies and Pit Bulls in particular. 25% of the profits from Dodger’s books will go to dog charities across the world. The books are written in such a way as to teach children about personal values and create an understanding of subjects such as adoption, disability, environmental issues and responsible dog ownership.
